I am Parent
Journal entry – Monday 28 November 2022
It is true. The insight I had yesterday grows more clear. Parallel with the weeks ago realization watching a Steve Hardison “commitment” video on the power of declaring “I am ____” and me being blank and timid until struck with “I am Parent” long after.
Looking up the etymology of parent, I find it a Latin verb for “bringing forth.”
My path recently has very much been “how do I unlock the understanding within the person I am engaging with that they are loved eternally and endlessly by me and all other Beings; thus, wash away the fears+doubts+worries and go forth creating good light-hearted fun, understanding all is well and we merely wish to see you happily playing.”
I am a committed disciple of learning how to unlock myself and fellow Creators so we may bring forth our most powerful creativity as we frolic in fun.
Since my early teens the underlying boldness and consistency of my experimental and explorative nature has been so I can grow as strong a parent as I can be for my children. I remember often mustering courage through the mantra of “Act: the wisdom I learn I can pass into my children.” And in these last couple years I realized it is not merely for my kids, but for all Beings I bond with (and myself). I can love and bond just as deeply with any Being as I can with “my own” child – we all can – the only thing stopping us is the belief that we cannot.
